David Trone represents Maryland's 6th Congressional District — which includes Frederick County, Washington County, Allegany County, and Garrett County in western and central Maryland — in the U.S. House of Representatives, having been first sworn in January 2019. Before Congress, Trone co-founded Total Wine & More and grew it into the largest privately held wine retailer in the United States. He serves on the House Appropriations Committee, where he chairs a Subcommittee, and is a member of the Congressional Equality Caucus and the New Democrat Coalition.
